Interview with 2026 Educator in Residence Andrew Bishop
Scott Gwinnell will interview the Michigan Jazz Festival’s first Educator-in-Residence, Andrew Bishop in a free Zoom interview on Saturday, June 20, 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Andrew will take your questions 4:00 – 4:30 pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear about this new position, and what Andrew will be bringing to the festival as well as a sneak-peak of the fabulous groups and artists that will be performing on the Future of Jazz stage in this year’s festival.
Andrew Bishop, Chair of Jazz & Contemporary Improvisation and Professor of Music at University of Michigan, will serve as the first Educator in Residence at the 31st Michigan Jazz Festival on July 19, 2026.
